Pastry Chef Mark Brickman is a local gem in the special events industry. Atlanta has been home to Chef Brickman's trendsetting gourmet bakery, Baker's Man Inc., for the past seven years.  He and his staff, working in a state of the art kitchen in Alpharetta, create personalized, custom desserts that are no less than works of art. While wedding cakes are what he is best known for, Chef Brickman creates confectionery dreams for all occasions.

To see his work and know his work ethic is to understand why Chef Brickman is so highly regarded and eagerly sought after. As a matter of fact, his bakery has gained so much notoriety, it gets referrals from Charm City Cakes in Baltimore. You might know them better as "Ace of Cakes", the popular reality show on The Food Network. We are not the only ones who think highly of his work, demonstrated by the accolades he has earned. His most recent award was the 2008 Allie Award for Best Cake Presentation in Atlanta.  This award is an industry recognition given through NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) and ISES (International Society of Event Specialists). Chef Brickman also recently made the front cover and feature article on www.grandweddingcakes.com, a new online wedding cake magazine.

Chef Brickman is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island where he studied pastry arts and food service management. His work background includes an upscale retail bakery in Westchester County, New York, an upscale restaurant in Lausanne, Switzerland, The Peabody Hotel, Memphis, The Ritz-Carlton Hotels, St. Louis and Atlanta (Buckhead), as well as The Grand Hyatt Atlanta.
